I am humbled that my free kick in 1997 is remembered so fondly and i'm honoured to be inducted into the first MAN OF THE MATCH(R) ICONS Hall of Fame. Choosing ten other players to join my team for their iconic moments gave me great joy and brought back some wonderful memories. I wish I could have chosen two teams! I look forward to sharing the NFT artwork award with one of my fans!
JULIO CESAR - BRAZIL v CHILE 2014
A heroic MAN OF THE MATCH® performance by Julio Cesar, which he had predicted, saw Brazil beat Chile on penalties saving two of them to reach the 2014 WC quarter-final.
CAFU - LAZIO v ROMA 2000
Cafu inspired Roma to their first Scudetto since 82/83, but the most memorable MAN OF THE MATCH® performance was against their arch-rivals, including a triple sombrero on Pavel Nedvěd!
